Mfon Edemekong, Esq. holds an LLB and LLM from the University of Uyo, Nigeria, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1999. An astute legal practitioner with bias in legal and legislative drafting having obtained National and International training on the subject area, she is a Public Servant and currently the Director, Department of Legal Drafting, Ministry of Justice, Akwa Ibom State.

She is a committed member of several professional organisations including the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Federation of Women Lawyers where she once served as the Chairperson, and a Fellow and current Chairperson of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, Uyo Chapter. She has also served in various capacities in government panels and commissions including the Akwa Ibom State EndSars Panel where she served as the Secretary.

Mfon Edemekong, Esq. is an advocate and resource person for change and social engineering through law reform initiatives and advocacy. She is resilient, committed and passionate about children, women and family issues. She is a Certified Family Mediator, a Peace Advocate, a committed Christian, and a mother of two wonderful children. She loves reading, cooking, travel and learning. Most importantly, she is a great lover of God and humanity
