Idongesit Udoh is a pragmatic Medical Laboratory Scientist with a deep passion for the delivery of quality services and teamwork in solving key medical issues affecting the State and society.
Idongesit Udoh serves as the Head, State Public Health Laboratory at the Public Health Directorate of the Ministry of Health, Uyo. She also serves the Laboratory Pillar Lead in the Akwa Ibom State COVID-19 Incidence Management Committee set up in 2020 to combat the novel pandemic.
Idongesit Udoh is a member of the Akwa Ibom State Gender-Based Violence Committee, where she represents the Ministry of Health, Uyo. A committee noted for its remarkable strides in sensitizing and abating the rise in gender-based violence in the State.
As a visionary servant-leader and dedicated public servant, Idong has attended and facilitated several trainings, conferences geared towards achieving an improved medical service delivery system within and outside the State in partnership with several Multi-national organization including but not limited to USAID, WHO, FHI360.
Idongesit holds a Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (Microbiology) from Rivers State University Of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt.
Idongesit Udoh is a devote Christian and believes in giving back to the society. She is a member of the Idanda Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization with the aim of empowering women, youths and children for a progressive society.
