On the 21st of October 2022, as one of our bids to ensure victims of gender-based violence access justice, medical care, and shelter, the Akwa Ibom State Gender-Based Violence Management Committee visited Chairmen of Local Government Councils, to advocate for the establishment of Gender-Based Violence Response Desks in their various LGAs.

The message was well received, so by the end of October 2022, we will have 31 GBV Response Desks in all the LGAs, and victims, in these areas, will be able to easily access help with ease.

Crime thrives where men do nothing! Let’s join hands together and take the fight against GBV to the doors of the perpetrators 💪💪
